This was the outift I planned to wear sometime ago for Christmas Day – all knits for
non stop eating comfort 🙂 I hadn’t decided on the belt and bag as I thought to wear the jumper loose but it needed to be cinched in so out came the vintage H belt and vintage Fonsbelle bag to match – easy peasy! The bag may look small but carried a lot. Everything was in my closet already so I didn’t buy anything for the occasion which is exactly how I want it to be. I don’t enjoy having to look for something for a particular event, believe it or not. Eversince I tried making a shopping list based on filling the small gaps or replacing items in my wardrobe, it’s been SO much better all round. It’s also a way for me to be much less tempted by sales that seem to pop up weekly nowadays because it no longer matters if something is in the sale, if it’s not on the list, I don’t need it.
The jumper is vintage Max Mara and I last wore it in 1994. I’d been searching for a sequin skirt for ages and found this one at a huge discount at ASOS months ago (and bought a navy blue version as well). The Pied A Terre suede booties were scored off *bay for 99p nearly 2 years ago and I’ve had the scarf for so long, I no longer remember where it came from.
We were with family for Christmas dinner at home but if I was out I would have worn sheer black tights with black pointy stilettoes. My coat was the navy Crombie.
I hope everyone had a great day – thanks for reading!
