We did a little exploring in one of the villages nearby during the recent holidays. This is one its churches. Rooftops. Many buildings are no longer standing perfectly straight or horizontal. A clock tower where the tea room is housed.First we took a detour to the river bank to see the beautiful swans. They were very tame indeed but all the same we were cautious quiet and careful. They even conducted some personal grooming! A duo.
These are a little younger than the rest I think.Trio. Full quartet.High Tea at last! Not exactly finger sandwiches…..but fresh and tasty all the same. My mother’s Catch Of the Day dish – the fish in sauce was simply delicious and the potatoes very garlicky and totally yummy! Definitely cooked à la Française. Home made scone, jam and clotted cream. Delicious tea.Mismatch heaven! My son’s favourite cake, Lemon Drizzle and by the time I reached for my camera and pointed it at the slice, it was almost demolished!
