As we change seasons and store away our Winter coats, I wanted to round up some of my favourite coats. I’ve always loved coats and living in UK, that’s a very good thing 🙂 As a kid I had the cutest red wool coat and later as a tween, best not to mention the coat wilderness, suffice to say it was fail during that time but I did discover the trench coat from C&A. I was the only one to wear it in the 6th Form…apart from the teachers lol! All the other girls were into massive puffer jackets and anoraks. Then came the awful 80s with the horrid shoulder pads – none of my coats survived from that era except for the vintage treasures I found. These vintage coats were my staple for much of the 90’s and 00s. I only replaced a couple of my vintage coats and added more to my collection a few years ago. Fabulous and classic reefer or pea coat but updated with leather skinnies and pointed toe shoes. I love how she wears her scarf. I adore pale colours and a coat in white or ivory is always luxe looking. I love how it’s so plain so that her beautiful outfit underneath gets all the attention.Top to toe, inside out in ivory is stunning and a perfect base for the graffic scarf.Another beautifully simple light coat. I love this little red coat so much – especially the sleeves! Another gorgeous red! This is from the recent shows by Fendi. The parka is given a super luxe make over. I love the sophistication without losing any of the youthful style and the new proportions. A traditional ethnic look in a big cocoon shape with wide sleeves. I’m so loving green coats as you’ll see! Tailored grey with fur rever collar over a very feminine dress and little leather wrap top. Do you think her friend is wearing the green coat now 🙂 ?I’ve always loved fur real or faux and this style is pretty much a perfect classic to me especially dressed down with ripped jeans and biker boots.A more adventurous and textural mix of leather/suede fringing and fur cape. Sharper lines and another mix of textures, fluff against the padded shoulders. I just love this photo! Green again, this time mohair I believe and ultra cosy. I totally adore this green with burgundy. Quite an ordinary jumper and loose pants but her green coat and sharp accessories elevate the whole look for me. A lovely vintage style coat over perfect the most classic combination of LBD and Kelly. This photo appeals to me on so many level levels, contrasting styles, textures and age but somehow very much together. Utterly classic camel coat from the recent shows but styled with a patent leather tie.Just a few weeks before delivering her 3rd baby boy, I love how Gwen wore another classic camel coat. A beautiful contrast between the tailored lines and the ultra feminine outfit and shoes.Forever the gamine! The perfect classic grey with velvet collar. A modern classic. And finally the shape of the future from Céline. This reminds me of how kids often wear their coats. I love everything about it and the dress and the statement fur handwarmer 🙂
