Fun Feathers

Fun is not a word generally associated with my clothes but it’s never too late to try new things, right? FEATHERS4Enter the maribou feather dress by Top Shop as seen on stylish Alex of The Frugality’s post here. It sold out and came back in stock and this was when I nabbed mine in 2 sizes as you just never know. It’s a knit material which I failed to notice so has some extra give to it.SILVERTONESStyled with the Hermès Farandole necklace and black CDC like so with the lovely H&M fluffy black cardigan. FEATHERS2Lace tights and suede Michael Kors booties to complete. It was very comfortable, flirty and yes, fun! However, due to the stretchiness of the material, it was too big for me and  hung too sack like. It needs to be pretty fitted at the shoulders and flare out towards the hem but on me it was too loose all over sadly. It has sold out again and the chances of me finding a smaller one is very low so back it went – sob!

Thanks for reading!

You look so fabulous in this dress, it’s a real showstopper. Shame you sent it back but if you were not happy with the fit that’s the right thing to do, if one is not completely happy with an item of clothing that’s the only way to avoid wardrobe languish. Of course now I am off to check out the TopShop website!!!

Thank you so much – it’s always good to have a showstopper item in your closet! That’s the peril with online shopping sadly and I don’t shop at Top Shop generally but I know that sometimes the High Street comes up with a treasure or 2 well worth the effort. I’m still chuckling from reading your current post over at Blighty 🙂
