The Wrong Cardi

WRONGCARDI15 Putting on my gloves and off to a morning meeting that included coffee and mince pies. I had thought about what to wear and decided on the pieces a couple days before but didn’t have a dress rehearsal 🙂 I was looking forward to wearing my Ralph Lauren cashmere skirt again here, here, this time with the Theory long black coat in keeping with the longer length.WRONGCARDI15A Thalassa shawl also here wrapped twice round, mysterious purply Rouge H vintage Kelly 32 also here and suede Michael Kors booties. All good.WRONGCARDI15DBut the cardi I wanted to wear originally was all wrong with this skirt. I tried 3 more until digging this one out which is the right length and colour, only the material was wrong – it’s cotton. Two out of three isn’t bad, I guess.  WRONGCARDI15C A short wool/cashmere/mohair or even angora would have been best but finding one at such a length on me would be difficult.WRONGCARDI15ENevermind, it was a great meeting! The Theory black silk shirt feels just wonderful. Despite only 3 thin layers, together they kept me warm enough without overheating.

Thanks for reading!

🙂 Isn’t it terrible when you have something in mind and don’t find it?
The card you chose in the end is find – who cares if it’s cotton?!
    Great styling, as always!
    HAPPY Holidays .-)

This looks good and effortless, even though you explain clearly how such a wonderful look was achieved. The cotton carni is great, I wear them all year around, easy to layer, with great insulating properties.
