Winter: Skirt and Boots

SKIRTBOOTS3Finally into my favourite Winter combination of warm skirt and knee boots. These knee boots took a while to find from this post by Sergio Rossi (I seem to have most luck with this brand in boots). They’re the plainest pair I could find. SKIRTBOOTS2I didn’t really plan it but my outfit is navy except for the extremities, black beret, boots and gloves. I was out and about but ended up running around a bit lot more than expected so was very thankful for the low heels! SKIRTBOOTS4A little colour with the check Old England scarf was all that was needed. I noticed feeling unfinished without a bit of colour and/or pattern which shows I’ve come a long way πŸ™‚

Thanks for reading!

Great boots (and outfit!). It is an inspiration today,I forgot, due to ankle boots, how much I love my boots. It’s very cold outside,so I’ll consider cashmere tights AND one pair of tights beneath and a pair of my neglected boots. S. Rossi is great, mine are Pollini, black and grey (two pairs, not a combination!) and brown Fratelli Rossetti.
    Have a nice day

Thank you very much! Your plan sounds perfectly warm and suited to your very cold temperatures. Fortunately it’s always milder than any extremes in the rest of UK where I am. My skirt was slightly drafty being flared – I normally wear a thick straight style which is better to trap the warmth πŸ™‚ A selection of knee boots is essential for our winters – I haven’t tried Pollini yet and grey I always wanted but never found yet either.

Lovely cosy outfit, navy and black together is one of my fav combinations. And the boots look so soft and stylish – are they slippery on the wet pavement?

Thank you very much! The boots are very soft and comfortable right out of the box. The soles and heels were fine and I didn’t slip at all on the very first wear. I think it’s ok because my small town is quite well gritted.
