London: Hermès and Dim Sum

BONDST2 I took our youngest Sweetie Girl to London, just the two of us the other day and there was much excitement. It seems my first destination is always to Hermès 🙂 but she was ok about that. Bond Street had a lot of scaffolding and cranes at regular intervals from New Bond Street right up to Green Park. Continue reading

Zing

ZING A Sunday lunch en famille on a beautiful warm Spring Day required some zing! I hadn’t planned on the blue and the lime together as the cardigan, denim skirt and wedge heel sandals were bought years apart. I see it as a sign I am finally on the right track to a cohesive and relevant closet. Continue reading

Fit

SPRINGThere’s no denying it anymore – I have gained something like 6kg in the last year and it has to go back to wherever it came from! It may not sound like much but I would need to grow taller by at least 60cm to spread that extra weight out 🙂 Honestly I have never dieted my whole life and I am not about to start now in my 49th year. Et vous?CAMEL I made the effort to put a skirt on for 11’s with a girlfriend I hadn’t seen in several months with the trusty Sergio Rossi knee boots and camel unlined Max Mara coat. Continue reading

Closet Evolution: Dressing Down the Chanel Jacket

TWEED2OK, so here’s the context: the Classic Tweed Chanel Jacket does not, in fact, suit my body – yes, it was painful to discover that BUT I found the solutions that worked for me …. Today was a beautiful sunny day and I didn’t want to wear a coat but knew I need to be warm so decided Tweed was the answer and this is my only tweed number …. Continue reading

Winter: Skirt and Boots

SKIRTBOOTS3Finally into my favourite Winter combination of warm skirt and knee boots. These knee boots took a while to find from this post by Sergio Rossi (I seem to have most luck with this brand in boots). They’re the plainest pair I could find. Continue reading
