Garden Purple and Kelly Green (again)

CLEMATIS2The second Summer for our Clematis in the garden ready to burst open.CLEMATISLike so, they are more dramatic than last year’s with more petals. I just love flowers. The dark green leaves and purple echo the Kelly and Violet KDT bracelet I am loving. Continue reading

Spring Wedding 2016

WED2I must apologise for not replying to comments lately, it’s just been an extra busy time and here is one of the reasons why, a family wedding to attend. Planning what to wear is never easy for weddings and more so when it is in Spring because you have that chaos factor of not knowing whether temperatures would effectively require Winter wedding mode or Summer mode and anything in between including rain. Silk Spots and Cashmere

SPOTTEDCROPOne of my ongoing Wardrobe Resolutions is to wear my silk shirts and blouses more in a casual way since I’m not bound to any kind of corporate formality. Most of the blouses and shirts are by Jaeger like this spotty one. The perfect answer for me is wearing them with jeans. Continue reading

Winter: Skirt and Boots

SKIRTBOOTS3Finally into my favourite Winter combination of warm skirt and knee boots. These knee boots took a while to find from this post by Sergio Rossi (I seem to have most luck with this brand in boots). They’re the plainest pair I could find. Continue reading

The Wrong Cardi

Closet Additions: Cape

CAPE2 This acquisition comes under the little space I’ve left for experimentation. I’ve always known instinctively, capes would overwhelm my frame both in their volume and length. But I still wanted to try and this blanket style finally satisfied my inner cowgirl and gives me a new silhouette. Continue reading

Closet Additions: Coat, Tote and Tunic

LONGCOAT Believe me I thought long and hard before adding another coat to my collection and a third black one at that. It had to be super easy to wear, longer length but not too long, warm but light enough for Spring wear (with low ankle boots/sneakers) and this one by Theory more than matches up. Theory is a favourite label of mine for outerwear because I know the the shoulders are cut narrowly which is a must and the style usually ultra simple. There are no shoulder pads at all in this one.
